The last time these two sides in an ICC event, three-time champions Australia were stunned by a rampaging Windies unit, led by skipper Steffanie Taylor and co by eight wickets to register the Caribbean side’s first World Twenty20 title.

Two years on, they’ll have to again contend with the likes of Taylor, Matthews and their superstar all-rounder in Deandra Dottin, who has been in imperious form in the tournament thus far.

Australia will sweat over the fitness of Alyssa Healy, who had a nasty injury in their league-stage match against India but in Lanning, Mooney, Perry, Gardener and Schutt, they have enough quality in their line-up to upset the home sides’ aim to win back-to-back World Twenty20 titles.
